Different "brow" sizes

Postby darin6 » Sun Feb 07, 2010 9:53 pm

Curious to hear how people would handle this situation:

A two shot: a couple on a couch. The actress is looking great under the light you've set up, however the man has a prominent brow which casts deep shadows over his eyes. Let's say it's not what you're looking for, so what's the simplest way to open his eyes up?

I dealt with that situation today and wasn't really happy with the result. I simply added more light coming from slightly below, and i had to fight shadows on the wall behind the couch like crazy.

Thanks for the ideas on this simple scenario!

Maybe you`d better try to use a little fluo unit like Miniflo, that `ll affect not much to the whole shot but the character`s eyes will appear with a highlight?

Or a small silver stipple board to catch some of your light and direct it in the eyes.
